‘Mahapanchayat’ to take place at Singhu Border on October 27
After the recent violent assassination of a man at the border, Nihang Sikhs have issued an open appeal for a ‘mahapanchayat’ on October 27 at the Singhu Border to choose their future line of action.
The main reason behind conducting ‘Mahapanchayat’ is to gather public feedback on Nihang Sikhs staying at the Singhu Border.
Baba Raja Raj Singh and Kulwinder Singh of Tarna Dal had resolved to organise an all-religion mahapanchayat at the site, according to Baba Balwinder Singh of Panth Akali Nirvair Khalsa, Udna Dal of Moya di Mandi.
Baba Balwinder Singh also stated that they had issued an open invitation to all intellectuals in the Sikh community as well as the sangat of all relegions to attend the conference. He also said that farmers and their leaders are welcome to attend the conference because it is open to the public.
The sangat’s decision, which would be made at the ‘mahapanchayat,’ would be acceptable to everyone. We will leave from here if the sangat asked us to leave the border, he replied.
He continued, “We have accepted what we’ve done, and our men in the court have accepted it as well.” We came here to ensure the safety of the farmers demonstrating, and we will not flee.
