100 new cases of dengue in a day reported in Mohali

In the last 24 hours, 100 new dengue cases have been reported, bringing the total number of cases in Mohali to 2,631.

However, until this evening, no dengue-related deaths had been reported across the district, according to health officials.

In the last two months, the district has reported a total of 2,631 dengue cases. While there were 344 cases and two deaths in September, there were 2,260 cases and 31 fatalities by October 31.

A total of 260 samples were taken from suspected dengue patients. One hundred of these were found to be infected with the illness. In the last five days, 410 dengue cases have been reported in the district.

“We have a worrisome scenario on our hands,” Civil Surgeon Dr Adarshpal Kaur stated. Anti-dengue campaigns have already begun to combat the problem. However, we will need the locals’ complete cooperation as well. Our goal is to stop the spread of vector-borne diseases, hence the number of anti-larvae teams has been raised.”
