Apple , Lenovo challenged? Xiaomi Corp notebook ready for launch

Is Xiaomi Corp. launching a “notebook” battle against the Lenovo Group Ltd and Apple Inc? Reports from Digitimes have confirmed that the company is planning to introduce its first laptop “notebook” beginning of 2016. Xiaomi, the supply chain, is all equipped to build up the notebook with Foxconn Electronics and Inventec, the “original design manufacturer” partners.

The same model that was used with Xiaomi smart phones will be used in the soon-to-be released notebooks. The mass production scheduxile is still awaiting confirmation, though Digitimes has confirmed that Xiaomi plans to introduce its 15 inch notebooks “with a high price to performance ratio”. Offering competition to the Lenovo’s Think Pad and Apple’s “Macbook Air”, the speculated notebook powered with Linux Operating System may be priced at about CNY 2,999 region that is about Rs 31,500 and will see light of the day in the first quarter of next year, though these are the hushed up reports.

Xiaomi needs memory chips for its new creations and reports are saying that they are in talks with Samsung Electronics Co. regarding this. Xiaomi is known for making a mark in the Smartphone industry worldwide, in a period of just five years, because of its stylish designs and finest quality components that it prices at a very reasonable rate.
Will Xiaomi increase the business pressures on industrial stalwarts like Hewlett-Packard Co Lenovo, and Apple?
