US universities see 32% boost in Indian students

The international figure increase is reported to be 9% but officials of the Universities and Colleges of US report that almost 32% increase in Indian students has been reported, as compared to the figures gathered from last year.

The report released on a quarterly basis, has confirmed on the number of international students, who have taken up educational courses in the US and has recorded a “32% increase in students from India since 2014” and the figure has been noted by the authorities.

3) Columbia University
4) The University of Illinois
5) Purdue University

The international students studying in the US are handed over F&M Visa permission for studying in the US. The 405, 314 F&M visas are for students following up STEM fields in US, in which STEM refers to science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Almost 1.5 million international students are in US studying under this visa permission. Asians pursing STEM field, contribute to almost 86% of students from international quarters.

According to the report “More international students studied engineering than any other STEM field of study, with 29% of those engineering students coming from India. As many as 81% of Indian students are in STEM field, the highest for any country.”
