Army Convoy in Jalandhar blocked by farmers during ‘Bharat Bandh’!
On Monday, disgruntled farmers stopped an Army convoy on a regular drill near the PAP-Rama Mandi flyover in Jalandhar, resulting in high drama.
After presenting the farmers required paperwork, the caravan took half an hour to cross the barrier.
The whole incident occurred about 7 a.m., when an Army convoy from Amritsar was denied access to the PAP overpass. The convoy, which included over a dozen Army vehicles and jeeps, was on its way to Rohtak, Haryana.
Farmers at the protest location were requested to dismantle barricades by an officer escorting the caravan. After confirming their documents and IDs, the farmers led by Bhartiya Kisan Union (Rajewal) permitted the Army personnel to pass.
Around 7.30 a.m., the convoy left the location.
