Sukhbir Singh Badal, the leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal, named four more candidates for the upcoming Punjab assembly elections on Tuesday, bringing the total number of candidates to 74.
According to senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Daljit Singh Cheema, Baldev Singh Mann would run for Sunam, while Harpal Juneja will run for Patiala Urban.
Gobind Singh Longwal, the former chairman of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, will run in the Lehra sector, while Hardev Singh Megh will run in the Balluana assembly segment.
In June, the Shiromani Akali Dal teamed up with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) to run for 117 seats in the Punjab parliament.
