Heartening news for students wanting to register for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2016 but are still not ready with the necessary details for the online registration which was to originally end on 31st December 2015!
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the online application process including uploading of photos for another 11 days. Students Candidates who wish to participate in the JEE Main 2016 can apply online via the authorized website http://jeemain.nic.in/ for the exam till 11 January 2016 by (11.59 PM) after which the online registration link will be disabled.
The last date to accept fee through debit/ credit card has also been extended up to 12.01.2016 (11.59 PM) & through e-challan to 12.01.2016 till (banking transaction time).

JEE is a common all India engineering entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various courses and engineering colleges of the nation. Eligible and interested candidates keen to get enrolled into the much sought after undergrad engineering programs in NITs, IIIT’s and other centrally funded technical institutes participate in the prestigious exam.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants should have passed the higher secondary exam with (Chemisry, Physics, Mathematics) from a recognized board or university and secured minimum 50% marks in core subjects.
The CBSE would be conducting both pen and paper test for JEE Mains. The Paper-based test would be conducted on April 3rd, 2016 and the computer-based online exam would be held on 9 & 10 April 2016.
Aspirants who qualify in JEE main exam 2016 (Online or Offline mode) and meet the cut-off will be able to appear for JEE Advanced exam, which is the gateway into the 16 prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad. Candidates are allowed a total of 3 attempts to qualify for JEE Mains.
