Punjab PMET Result 2016 Delayed, Expected Today (16 June)
Some disheartening news for thousands of students waiting anxiously for their verdict in the Punjab PMET 2016! The PMET 2016 result which was expected on 15 June has been delayed.
Though there is no official confirmation, speculation is rife the Punjab PMET 2016 result is likely to be declared today (16 June) on the official website bfuhs.ac.in
Apparently, due to a large number of complaints regarding 110 of the total 400 questions, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) decided to withhold the result of the Punjab Pre-medical Entrance Test (PMET-2016).
The university has formed three committees to tackle the issue and will declare the result on receiving the report from them.
Dr. D S Sidhu, registrar of BFUHS stated, BFUHS registrar DS Sidhu said: “We are working on the objections raised by the students. We will be able to declare the result after clearing these.”
The Punjab Medical Entrance Test (PMET) is conducted for admissions to the students wanting to pursue MBBS and BDS courses in various medical colleges.
The PMET-2016 was successfully conducted in online mode on 11th June at 33 centers across the state. The entrance exam was held for 1200 seats into MBBS and BDS courses in 22 medical and dental colleges affiliated to Baba Farid University, Faridkot. As many as 14,689 students had appeared for the test in two shifts.
The paper carried 800 marks with 200 marks for each section of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Negative marking is not applicable.
