Adults,kids, almost everyone, is busy tapping buttons on their Smartphones. Social media has taken a backseat and they are not accessing WhatsApp or Facebook, as are busy playing the game.
In 1996, the cute cartoon critters that made their debut in Japan have been a favorite with kids. The recently introduced game has become viral and in this real world physical objects enthrall with these creatures.
The game termed as “Pokemon Go” has exciting activities and one of them shows Ponyta , a flaming demon galloping all across the National Mall. In another moment Diglett, which looks like a mole peeps out of a toilet.Then there is the ostrich looking Doduo playing with an office phone buttons, the latest is Pikachu flitting inside a “colon”.
Twitter has been ignored and it’s the “Pokemon go” that is becoming a hot favorite with the people. The most profitable game title on Apple and Google App stores has been taken over by Pokemon. Nintendo smiles as the stock has risen by almost 25%. The real world is suddenly being made more exciting by the digital touch. There are going to be more such releases to woo the “game lovers”, and according to a gaming analyst who works for Wedbush Securities, Michael Pachter, “It’ll get bigger before it gets smaller. I just hope that nobody actually gets killed walking into traffic.”
Plenty of people have run into trouble because they have been distracted by the characters in the game whereas they should have been paying more attention elsewhere. A Reddit user who had been gaming on Reddit, passed a comment for fellow users saying “Not even 30 minutes after the release last night, I slipped and fell down a ditch. Fractured the fifth metatarsal bone in my foot, 6-8 weeks for recovery. I told all the doctors I was walking my dog. . . . Watch where you’re going, folks!”
There is plenty of physical exploration of the real world in the digital Pokemon. Reports state that “The critters are placed using GPS and an algorithm by 
a software and gaming company.”The user loves feeding Pokemon candies and watches it gain power, to crush the nasty creatures into defeat.
The games developers have a complaint to make for sure, the overloading of people logged on has led to the crashing of servers and these results in sluggish movements and freezing of the game. If you haven’t signed up for the game, then you are late and may face a lot of tough times in enrollment as a new player.
