More than 2 crore people successfully vaccinated in Punjab

To date, Punjab has given out more than 2.16 crore Covid vaccination shots, with 1.56 crore receiving the first dose and 59.61 lakh receiving both.

This was stated by Deputy Chief Minister OP Soni, who is also in charge of Health and Family Welfare. “Vaccination is being carried out aggressively across the state, and specific camps are being organised to vaccinate workers at their workplace,” he stated.

In terms of the active case scenario, he stated that Covid-19 was nearly under control at this time, with only 229 active cases. SBS Nagar, Muktsar, and Mansa have only one case, whereas Gurdaspur (5), Pathankot (9), Kapurthala (7), Sangrur (3), Ferozepur (7), Fatehgarh Sahib (3), Moga (9), Tarn Taran (7), and Barnala (8) have active cases in the single digits until Sunday.

“Even if there is a single active case in the state or the neighbouring areas, we cannot relax our guard even though the positive rate is dropping.” As a result, this holiday season must be observed with utmost prudence. Spread joy and celebration, but not a virus. “Use extreme caution and follow the Covid safety regimen,” Soni said.
