Capt. Amarinder Singh to launch his political party on Wednesday

On Wednesday, former Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh is expected to announce the formation of his own political party.

Singh’s media advisor Raveen Thukral sent an invitation to the media for Amarinder Singh’s press conference in Chandigarh.

Previous week, a ‘disappointed’ Amarinder announced the creation of his own political party to serve in the favour of the people, particularly the farmers who have been struggling for their rights for more than a year.

If the farmers’ difficulties are resolved in their best interests, the former chief minister said he is confident of a seat-sharing agreement with the BJP for the state’s Assembly elections next year.

Amarinder went on to say that he would not rest until he was able to safeguard the future of his people and state.

Since resigning as chief minister, Amarinder has openly stated that he will oppose Navjot Sidhu’s prospective ascension to the chief ministership tooth and nail, and that he is willing to make any sacrifice to protect the country from such a “destructive individual.”
