Women snatchers’ gang busted in Ludhiana!
The Ludhiana Police Department arrested four persons on Monday, including three women, as part of a women snatchers’ group operating across Punjab and Haryana.
They also had eight gold bangles, two bracelets, a necklace, and a car confiscated by the cops.
Jeeto (60) of Sangrur’s Jalaan village, Goga (45), Rajji (40) belonging to Sheetanwal village, and Sukhchain Singh (38) of Patiala’s Rauti Shanna village have all been identified as the suspects.
According to Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, the Commissioner of Police in Ludhiana, Jeeto is the boss of the gang and has been charged in four criminal cases at different police stations.
According to him, Goga already has six charges, and Sukhchain and Rajji have each been facing one case already.
According to the officer, Jeeto, Goga, and Rajji used to entice older women by offering them rides or engaging them in nice conversation while claiming to be acquaintances or relatives.
He claimed the group was responsible for over 100 snatchings in Ludhiana, Jalandhar rural, Amritsar, Kartarpur, Moga, Khanna, Jagraon, Hoshiarpur, and Haryana.
According to Bhullar, the suspects were captured after a trap was set in Goanspur village in Malerkotla district.
The gang member’s fraudulent registration documents and number plates were also grabbed, according to him.
