Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) is gearing up to organize the State Eligibility Test (SET) 2016.The Commission has opened the registration for the SET 2016.
Interested & eligible candidates may apply in the prescribed format online before 17, December 2015 through a link available at official website which is http://hp.gov.in/hppsc/. The exam will be held on in the month of May/June 2016 (Sunday).
The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission holds SET to select candidates for the post of Assistant Professors in universities and colleges located within the state. The test will be conducted in 19 subjects at various examination centres located in Shimla, Solan, Mandi and Kangra.
The Test will consist of three papers comprising objective type questions and will be held on one day in two separate sessions.
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates interested in applying should have (55%) in a Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc.
Reserved categories like SC/ST/PWD require 50% marks to apply for HPSET 2016.
Age limit:
There is no upper age limit for the candidates for appearing in the test.
Application Fee:
General: Rs.700/-
OBC Candidates: Rs.350/-
SC/ST Candidates: Rs.175/-
Candidates have to pay the application fee either through ‘e – Challan’ or through ‘e-payment’ option.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks in SET and their Post Graduation degree.
