Finally some clarity! Speculation has been rife for some time on whether interview for the posts of CWE Clerk-V will not be conducted or not. Apparently they have been scrapped! Finance ministry has directed Public Sector Banks to discontinue interview phase in the selection procedure of the clerical cadre.
Earlier the selection process for the IBPS Clerk post was based on the performance of the applicant in the Common Written Exam (Pre Exam and Main Exam) and Interview. Candidates who successfully cleared the interview stage were hired for clerical post.
The candidates were shortlisted on their performance in Mains and the Interview with a weightage ratio of 80:20. As per the new directions, the candidates will be selected completely (100%) based on their performance in the Mains exam.

IBPS successfully conducted the prelims on 05,06,12,13 December 2015 for the clerical posts in various public sector banks and regional rural banks. The result of the same was announced on 16 Dec 2015. Candidates who cracked the prelims took the main exam on d on 02 and 03 January 2016.
Aspirants are now waiting on tenterhooks for the IBPS Clerical Main Exam Results 2015. With the uncertainty of the interview sessions dispelled, the result can be issued any day.
