A great career opportunity for individuals aspiring for Commissioned Officer Posts with the Indian Air Force (IAF)!
The organization has released an official notification for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2016 on the main website www.careerairforce.nic.in.
Eligible candidates keen on joining the Flying, Technical and Ground Duty branches of IAF can start applying for AFCAT-2 entrance exam which is scheduled for 28 August 2016.
The online registration for AFCAT 2016 has begun on 4th June 2016. Young aspirants can apply in the prescribed format till 30th June 2016 after which the link will be disabled.
• Flying Branch:
Applicants must be between 20 to 24 years. In terms educational qualifications, candidates should possess (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognized University or have completed four years (BE, B. Tech) from any recognized university with 60% marks.
• Technical Branch:
Age limit for Technical Branch is 20 years to 26 years as on July 01, 2017. The aspirants applying for Technical Branch should be having graduated in B. Tech/B.E in Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electronics Engineering with 60% marks from recognized university.
• Ground Branch
Aspirants seeking for Ground Duty in Administration & Logistics, Accounts & Education branches should be within 20 to 26 years and have graduated in any degree/B.Com/M.Com/C.A/ICWA/M.Ed/P.Hd with 50% marks.
Selection Process:
• Aspirants will be shortlisted based on the performance in the written exams & Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) for candidates of the Technical Branch only. The written exam will be followed by an Intelligence Test, Psychological Test, Group Test, Medical conducted by Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs). Candidates applying for Flying Branch must appear for Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT).
Steps to fill application form for AFCAT-2 Entrance Examination 2016:
Log on to Indian Air Force website careerairforce.nic.in.
Fill in the application form in proper format with all necessary information such as name, address etc.
Pay the examination fee through online or offline mode.
Submit the AFCAT Online application form 2016.
After submission take a hard copy for the future use.
Also, retain the username and password.
