36,566 Clear JEE-Advanced 2016! Fight for 10,575 IIT seats begin!
The long wait for the results of the JEE-Advanced 2016 is finally over. The results of the prestigious JEE-Advanced 2016 were announced today (12th June) a little before 10:00 AM, the officially announced time.
According to the official information, a total of 36,566 engineering aspirants have cleared the JEE-Advanced 2016. A total of 1,98,228 candidates took the exam on 22nd May, 2016 after clearing the JEE (Mains) 2016.
But unfortunately clearing the JEE-Advanced 2016 still not guarantees admission to the prestigious IITs. These 36,566 candidates will now undergo counseling sessions for 10,575 seats across 23 IITs (including ISM, Dhanbad).
With operations being started at four new IITs – at Chattisgarh, Jammu, Karnataka and Goa —from the 2016-17 session, 569 more seats are up for grab as against the last year’s 10,006 seats.
