NEET-I and NEET-II Answer Key to be released together on 7th August; Students in a fix

The dilemma continues to plague National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) Phase I and II students.

With final confirmation coming from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) that the Answer Key and OMR Sheet of NEET-I will be released along with the answer key of NEET-II, the students are now in a fix whether to apply for NEET-II or not.

Students applying for NEET-II will have to forgo and forfeit their marks obtained in NEET-I.

The official NEET website http://aipmt.nic.in/aipmt/Welcome.aspx under its section “Important Information at a Glance” has listed the entire schedule of the NEET-II exam to be held on 24^th July, 2016.

As per the schedule, the NEET-I and NEET-II OMR Sheet will be published from 4^th August, 2016 – 6^th August, 2016. The Answer Key for NEET-I and NEET-II will be made public from 7^th August, 2016 to 9^th August, 2016.

However, the students, teachers and parents are of the opinion that the NEET-I Answer Key should be released before the registration process for the NEET-II ends on 25^th June, 2016. By this they will get a clear picture of their performance and give them an opportunity to improve upon their performance.

Teachers have also sought for an extension in the last date of registration for NEET-II to 30^th June, 2016.
