Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is gearing up to announce the PO preliminary exam result 2016. The institute is expected to release the awaited result for probationary officers (prelims) within a week.
Though there is still no official confirmation, sources suggest that the IBPS PO Preliminary Exam Result 2016 will be out within the next 3-4 days. Given that the mains are scheduled on November 20, there’s a strong buzz the prelims will be declared before 10 November.
Aspirants who have participated in the same can check their qualifying status on the authorised web portal which is http://www.ibps.in/ after it is declared.
The institute had issued a recruitment notification for to 8,822 posts of probationary officers. Selection for the same is on the basis of a preliminary exam, main test and personal interview. Nearly 21 lakh applied for the recruitment drive.
The preliminary examination for POs was successfully held on October 16, 22, 23 and 27 October. Candidates who crack the prelims will be shortlisted for the main and those who qualify will proceed to the personal interview (PI) round which will be held in January 2017. The final merit list will be based on the candidate’s marks in mains exam and interview round.
