It’s tough time for the Rai and Bachchan family. Krishnaraj Rai, father of famous actress Aishwarya Rai, was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai almost a fortnight ago. His condition remains critical. Earlier this year, Krishnaraj Rai had developed health complications and was hospitalized. He was later discharged when his health improved.
The Bachchan bahu along with her husband Abhishek have been regularly visiting Lilavati Hospital. Last night the actress broke down after paying a visit to her father who is on life support system. Amitabh Bachchan and make-up artist Mickey Contractor, a close friend of Aishwarya, also visited the hospital yesterday.
43-year-old Aishwarya is a typical papa’s girl. Krishnaraj Rai has been a pillar of strength for Aishwarya and has helped her in all important decisions of life; personal as well as financial.
“Aishwarya is devastated. She has been extremely close to her father all her growing up years and he is her pillar of strength. To see someone like that in a helpless condition is naturally heartbreaking. She has been spending sleepless nights worrying about her father’s health,” a source close to the family was quoted as saying to India.com.
It may appear very unlike in the Indian culture, but Aishwarya always apprised Krishnaraj Rai about her love life ahead of her mother or sister.
Thankfully, the entire Bachchan family is by Aishwarya’s side during these turbulent times. We wish Krishnaraj Rai a speedy recovery and strength to all the near and dear ones to stay strong and united at this crucial juncture.
