A total of 17 farmer leaders in Punjab were booked for allegedly misbehaving with participants in the rally of Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal in Moga district.
Over 200 unknown individuals were also booked for allegedly disrupting the event.
According to Dhruman Nimbale, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Moga Police Station, farmer leaders along with their supporters had broken through the security. Also, they are being accused of pelting stones at the people in the rally.
First Information Reports have been registered against those individuals under certain IPC sections and also under Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act.
