Haryana gains an edge over Punjab in farm produce

After the conflict of phrases with Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh over the farm agitation, the Manohar Lal Khattar-led BJP government in Haryana has claimed to gain an edge over its neighbouring state in agriculture.

The Haryana government, in an problematic press launch, has claimed that Haryana’s growth in the field of agriculture has increased up to 6.3%, while Punjab’s growth accounts for only 2.1%.

For sugarcane farmers, the Haryana government has installed around eleven sugar mills in the state. But even as the whole wide variety of sugar generators in Punjab is 15, most effective 9 mills are in a running situation.

They have also claimed that Haryana is way ahead of Punjab in context with providing farmers a true value to their crops and hence, giving them a better minimum support price.
