On September 8, a retired Punjab police officer, was presented in front of the courtroom and sent to the police detention facility for two days. He has been charged for allegedly murdering his 69 year old wife.
The victim’s (Kuldeep Kaur) post-mortem took place at the Civil Hospital, Phase 6. Viscera samples were sent from the police fora forensic test.
Injuries to the chest and one side of the head and neck were reported by sources. A bruised object resulted in the damage mark on the head. There were also some signs of strangulation on the neck.
Kartar Singh Riar (70), is accused of killing his wife by repeatedly slamming her head on the floor in their Phase XI home yesterday morning. Two hours later, the culprit was apprehended. He was seated close to the body.
According to the authorities, the couple’s relationship had been poor for a long time.The event occurred when Kartar Singh summoned Kuldeep Kaur to his home to resolve the matter.
