Former CM Amarinder’s posters to be removed from buses, orders Punjab govt.!
The government of Punjab has passed an order to immediately remove the posters from the state-owned buses that contain information regarding government’s accomplishments, various schemes and the photo of the former chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh.
The directives came less than a week after Charanjit Singh Channi was appointed as the new Chief Minister of Punjab.
It has been reported that the newly appointed CM Channi would become the new face for those posters.
“The Chief Minister’s photo is usually posted on buses to showcase the state government’s programmes, and it is done across the board,” according to sources.
The Director of Public Relations has issued a letter to the PRTC stating that all general managers are informed to immediately remove the photos of the former CM from the posters that have been pasted on the buses.
Furthermore, it has been brought to the attention that there are buses still out there with Captain Amarinder’s posters on them. These buses were seen at the local bus stand even after the letter had already been sent to the department.
A senior PRTC official responded to this and said that the posters were pasted two years ago and the new posters would soon replace the old ones.
