A car collision on the Patiala-Pehowa route in the early hours of Friday killed five people and injured 12 others, including a 12-year-old child.
The injured are being treated at Patiala’s Government Rajindra Hospital. A Scorpio SUV crashed with a tractor-trolley in Jagatpur village at 3 a.m., according to police.
According to sources, the tractor-trolley was carrying around two dozen people to a religious occasion in Haryana when the SUV crashed into it.
Three of the five people who died in the accident were in the tractor-trolley, while the other two were in the SUV.
