Sonia Gandhi, President of the Congress party named Harish Chaudhary as the AICC in charge of Punjab on Friday, removing Harish Rawat from the position.
During recent events in Punjab, Harish Chaudhary served as a vital point of contact between Rahul Gandhi and Punjab Congress leaders.
In addition to organizing peace between CM Charanjit Channi and Punjab Congress president Navjot Sidhu during the past several days. Chaudhary also served as general secretary, Punjab affairs in charge, during the Assembly election in 2017.
As the Assembly election come closer, Chaudhary, a very trusted deputy of Rahul Gandhi, is likely to play a key role in coordination between CM Channi and PPCC president Sidhu.
