The registration process for the prestigious Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for the year 2016 is underway.
Candidates who are interested in taking the exam can apply for the same on the official website for GATE 2016 www.appsgate.iisc.ernet.in
The GATE 2016 registration will remain open till October 1, 2015 midnight. The online application link thereafter will be deactivated.
GATE scores help engineering aspirants to seek admission to post-graduate engineering programmes in Indian Institutes of Technology (IITS) and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISc). The GATE scores are also considered by few public and private sector undertakings for employment processes.
GATE 2016 – Important Dates
- Online Application Process – Starts September 1 (Tuesday) at 00:00 hrs.
- Online Application Process – Closes on October 1 (Thursday) at 23:59 hrs.
- Last date for request for change in the choice of city – November 20, 2015 (Friday)
- Admit Card Download – December 17, 2015 (Thursday)
- Online Exam Dates – January 30, 2016 (Saturday) and January 31, 2016 (Sunday), and February 6, 2016 (Saturday) and February 7, 2016 (Sunday) between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon; 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm
- Result Declaration – March 19, 2016 (Saturday) 7:00 hrs
