The members of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) along with their senior leaders protest outside the houses of the Punjab and Haryana Chief Ministers.
The protest was led by the former Finance Minister and MLA Parminder Singh Dhindsa.
Over the recent lathicharge on farmers, party workers yelled shouts against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Captain Amarinder Singh, and Manohar Lal Khattar.
By erecting barriers and using water cannons, the Chandigarh Police attempted to prevent protesters from entering the residences of both Chief Ministers, injuring many workers who had to be carried to a hospital.
According to a report – “In an attempt to overcome the barricade, the party leaders got into a scuffle with police officers, following which some leaders, including Dhindsa, were detained by the cops.”
