Here’s the latest update for students who have registered for CAT 2015 and are now waiting for their admit cards to take the upcoming entrance exam!
As per an official notification, the CAT 2015 Admit card date, which was earlier October 15 has been delayed by another 10 days. The crucial document will now be released on 25 October 2015 at the official website which is www.iimcat.ac.in.
Candidates who have applied for the exam will be able to download their respective Admit Cards for from 25th October 2015, 1:00 PM onwards till exam day.
Reasons for delay:
The 10 days delay in issuance of CAT 2015 Admit Card is being attributed to 2 major reasons. The prime reason is that applications for the prestigious exam this year are 2.18 lakh as opposed to 1.97 lakhs last year. The large number of applications has increased the work load and CAT Centre 2015 might need a few more days to finalise the issuance of CAT 2015 Admit Cards.
Another cause could be the extension of 5 days (Sep 20 to Sep 25) allotted for CAT 2015 registration process. Consequently, more checks & balances need to put in place before releasing the CAT 2015 Admit Cards to 2.18 lakh candidates.
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) is currently gearing up to hold the Common Admission Test (CAT 2015) on 29 November for the academic year 2015-16.
CAT is a computer-based competitive exam conducted by the IIM for students who wish to take admission in Master of Business Administration to 20 IIMs and other top rated B schools. Selection is purely on the basis merit taking into account CAT 2015 aspirant’s performance in written test, group discussions and personal interview round.
Important Dates:
CAT 2015 examination: November 29, 2015
Download of admit cards: October 25, 2015 onwards till exam day
Declaration of Results: Third week of December 2015.
