Mars Chocolate is one of the leading manufacturer of the famous Mars and people were shocked to hear that a massive recall of Snickers bars, Milky Way minis and Mars chocolate bars had been ordered by the company in Netherlands and Germany. This was all because – plastic had been discovered in a product. The Company confirmed in a statement that the recall was in Germany and “Mars Chocolate is carrying out a voluntary recall of chocolate products of Mars, Snickers, Milky Way and Celebrations after a bit of plastic was found in a product,” the company said in a statement on the recall in Germany.
Some chocolates had June 19th, 2016 to January 8th 2017 , printed as Best before dates and these were the ones that were said to be effected, confirmed the company. The site may be down for a while but please log onto www.mars.de and check out the status.
The US Company has stated “With this recall, we would like to prevent consumers who have purchased one of the above-mentioned products from consuming it.” The Dutch news agency has also claimed that a recall of similar products of the Dutch subsidiary of the company that have the same expiry date printed on them has been ordered by the US giant. The ANP has reported that all the products with this expiration date were made in a place called Veghel in Netherlands.
