Apple had recently been in talks with its key distributors and top executives in India and had a meeting regarding the launch of the SE stated the Times of India. Further details said that a source had confirmed “The stock of SE was in any case kept at a low level. A strategy is being worked out to pitch the device more effectively.” The discounts had been taken off on the iPhones and a source stated “It was felt that SE, which was criticized for having a ‘high price tag’, will not be able to see much traction if prices of bigger-sized iPhone 6 and 6S devices are not corrected. So, the decision was taken to revise the price upwards,”
Reports had speculated that after hiking the price the iPhone6S would be handed out at Rs 48,000 and the iPhone 6 would be available at Rs 40,000. The iPhone 5S which at the moment is available at Rs 18,000, would be costing Rs 22,000. This increase of price was hinting a hike of about 22%, said the speculations, but is this true?
