Disaster averted at Indore airport! Jet Airways plane spins out of runaway
Nearly 66 passengers and 4 crew members must have breathed a sigh of relief, after they escaped unhurt, when their Jet airways plane skid off the runaway in Indore. The Jet Airways plane bounced off the paved surface after it landed at the Devi Ahilyabai Airport in Indore. The landing was hard and unsmooth and the aircraft is showing signs of severe damage, speculated onlookers.
Leaving the cemented surface of the runaway behind, the

The aircraft first slid to the left, and then right, in an uncontrolled manner, and after sliding off the tarmac, stopped on the grass.. There were about 66 passengers and 4 crew members on board this flight that started from Delhi for Indore, and they are all safe, said the officials of the airline.
In a statement, Jet airways representatives have stated “Jet Airways flight 9W-2793 from Delhi to Indore has departed the paved surface after landing. All 66 guests and four crew aboard have been safely deplaned and taken to the terminal building. The airline has also stated that “Inspection of our aircraft at Indore is in progress. Our teams are working to move the aircraft on to the tarmac.”According to Pankaj Agrawal “The airline authorities informed us that the right wing of the plane was badly damaged due to the landing.
He also stated “Minutes before landing, we experienced heavy turbulence. It was drizzling in Indore. When the plane landed on the wet tarmac, it felt as if it was thrown on the ground.”
Reports are also saying that the aircraft halted on the grassland near the runaway and the emergency response team and the fire brigade was called to rescue. Sadhvi Ritambhara was also on the same flight. The airport and airline officials are still not divulging complete details of the incident but all passengers and crew on board the flight have managed to disembark safely.
