Pampore ambush attack! CRPF bus attacked by Lashkar terrorists, 8 dead
A terror attack has been reported on a bus in Pampore, and in this almost 8 Central Reserve Police Force personnel have died and 21 others have been left critically injured. This has been announced as one of the deadliest ambush attack on the security forces.
A CRPF bus carrying security personnel was attacked by the Lashkar terrorists, and this violence has left 8 CRPF people dead, and nearly 21 others gravely injured. The terrorists were “lying in waiting” near a sharp road curve, where almost all the vehicles slow down as they pass through. This was a carefully chosen spot and the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists put into play a “Fidayeen attack”, as stated by media, and they incessantly showered bullets on the bus that carried these CRPF personnel.
According to Nalin Prabhat, Inspector General of CRPF, “First hand impression of the bodies of terrorists is that both appear to be Pakistanis, definitely from Lashkar, and in all likelihood they were fidayeen (suicide attackers).”The ill-fated bus was on the way back to Srinagar from a firing exercise and it was stopped by two terrorists who came for it head on.
Talking about this further Prabhat stated the terrorists “got down from a car and fired indiscriminately at the bus. Before they could enter the bus, which had come to halt due to firing, they were killed by the Road Opening Party (ROP) of the CRPF.”The bus was carrying security personnel from the 161 battalion of CRPF, and the LeT terrorists ambushed the vehicle and showered it with bullets, taking them by surprise.
The incident took place at Frestbal and reports are also hinting that there were two more militants who seem to have escaped. This information is speculation and still needs to be confirmed by the authorities, though the possibility of two “run-away” terrorists has been flashed all around and everyone has been asked to get vigilant. The injured people and the dead bodies have been taken to hospital for treatment and the death toll has increased to about eight. In the last three weeks this has been registered as the third terror strike on security people and is also said to be the most lethal attack on security forces after the “
”.
