Oops! ‘Raped woman’ remark lands Salman in deep trouble

salman“Dangal” is around the corner and its “Sultan” in the news! Aamir Khan, at his latest movie’s poster launch stated “Salman Khan made an unfortunate and insensitive comment”. What was the comment? Salman Khan had unfortunately compared himself to a raped woman after a day of hard work on the sets of Sultan. He shouldn’t have done this, says everyone, including the National Commission for Women.

Salman Khan who has been up to his arms lifting and wrestling with people for his latest film “Sultan”, had picked up a man who weighed 120Kg for about 10 times because the camera wanted to take the shot from about 5 different angles, ended up saying during promotions that “It is like the most difficult thing”. Exhausted with this routine that lasted almost 6-7 hours, he had stated “When I used to walk out of that ring, it used to be actually like a raped woman walking out.” Well, that did it!

This comment made by Salman Khan has raised a national furor. Co-actor, Aamir Khan, stated “I wasn’t present when he made the comment. I feel going purely by the media reports that I have been reading which quotes him as saying it (raped woman remark), I feel what he said was rather unfortunate and insensitive.”

Bollywood and the political scenario, has been rustled by the remark and people like Malaika, Kangana Ranaut, Ali Abbas Zafar, Jacqueline, Shiv Sena have reacted to this. Talking about the incident Shah Rukh Khan stated, “I myself say so many things, who are we to decide or not decide what he (Salman) should be or shouldn’t be doing. Personally speaking I don’t think I can make any comments on this, I am so inappropriate myself.”

Salman Khan who has been served the show cause notice by the Women body, realized his mistake and felt he shouldn’t have compared himself to a rape victim. He ended up commenting “I don’t think I should have.” His father Salim Khan has already rendered an apology from his side but the NCW is waiting for the superstar’s apology and has asked him to present himself on the July 8th to the National Commission for Women!
