Prostitute comment! Mayawati fumes, Dayashankar Singh expelled
All hell will surely break loose now! Uttar Pradesh is marching towards Assembly Polls and BSP supreme Mayawati stands insulted at the hands of a senior party member. Dayashankar Singh, UP Vice President, who has crossed the line and made derogatory remarks about Mayawati , comparing her to a prostitute. This action has led to the expulsion of Dayashankar Singh, for six years from the BJP.
A huge political storm has been triggered by Dayashankar Singh’s offensive remark concerning Mayawati, and this has shown up as colossal protests made by the Bahujan Samajvadi Party workers on Thursday morning. This move may trigger the non-NDA parties to get together, and gain a stronghold in the political arena. BSP has prolonged the agitation and the BJP state Vice president Dayashankar Singh was suspended. Now, the BSP are demanding his arrest!
The main Hazratganj crossing is shrouded in a lot of hustle bustle and the State president of BSP, Ram Achal Rajbhar, has announced that further gathering is expected in the State capital. Security concerns, causing inconvenience to public and traffic issues are the main reason why people are not allowed to collect around Hazratganj area, and this was confirmed by the Lucknow District Magistrate, who stated “If anyone gathers and tries to organize any protest at Hazratganj, we take action accordingly.”
Singh was handed over the suspension orders and all his organizational responsibilities have been taken away by Keshav Prasad Maurya, the BJP state president. The Deputy Chairperson P.J Kurien, women MP’s, and many other Rajya Sabha Members were offended by the unforgivable remark made by
and they all asked for an appropriate action to be taken up against the BJP leader. The Upper House had also been rocked by the uproar caused by the BSP leaders.
In the Rajya Sabha, expressing a regret regarding the comment, Jaitley had told Mayawati “It is not right and I condemn the use of this word. And if a person has said this, we will investigate. I express personal regret. I associate with your dignity and stand with you.”
The BSP chief commended Jaitley and other Rajya Sabha members for their support and stated “There are war of thoughts and ideas in the House, but never have I used derogatory words against anyone ever. Dayashankar Singh should be arrested otherwise if in response to this the people get violent, it will not be on my conscience.” Later, Dayashankar Singh did render an apology for his blasphemous comments.
