Security breach? Bhagwant Mann posts Parliament video

It’s time to record one more blooper made by an Aam Aadmi Party lawmaker. This time it’s Bhagwant Mann who went past security layers and made a video while entering the Parliament. He has gone ahead and posted the coverage on social media and this act has raised a lot of hue and cry from MPs of the opposition parties, who are calling this act as “a security breach”.

The video recorded by Bhagwant Mann, a member of the Aam Aadmi party as he entered through the Parliament House’s entry gate, questioned the security arrangements in the area. In the video Mann after crossing many security layers with his camera has stated that the automobile he was traveling in is cataloged with the Lok Sabha. The censor at the security region has complete details of the vehicle. The moment the car comes near the gate the censor responds, and the car is identified and the number and name of car announced.

Bhagwant Mann said that he exhibited the video to show public the manner in which the Zero Hour questions are put forward and the way a lucky draw is used for the MPs who desire to raise their issues. Mann explains the whole system and a staff member can be seen stopping him from filming it in the Parliament House.

The uproar regarding the alleged “security breach” had Mann snap back, “Has my video put the Parliament in danger? How is this illegal? I will again make a video and put it. Let the notice come. I will do it again, and you too air it live at 8.50 a.m. I don’t believe that by telling people how Zero Hour questions are submitted will put Parliament in danger”.bhagwant

An investigation has been demanded in the matter by the MPs and Meenakshi Lekhi, the BJP MP stated that Mann needs to face the security agencies. She stated “Has this happened only because stupidity or was done at the behest some irresponsible forces. Bhagwant Mann’s de-briefing should be done by security agencies. The visitors who come to Parliament are not allowed any camera or even a pen drive. Only MPs and some police officers have that privilege. This was done because there should not be any compromise on security, especially after the Parliament faced terror attack,” stated the Politician.

Many MPs state that the act was irresponsible and improper though the video has exposed that the security system has plenty of loopholes. A committee dealing with Parliament security has been formed by the Speaker and the matter is under investigation. Has the act been done to get the security back in action or is it a publicity stunt?
