Great news for examinees who participated in the UPSC Prelims 2016! While the official Answer Keys of UPSC Prelim Exam 2016 are still awaited, unofficial solutions are now available. Some reputed educational Institutes have released them online.
The Civil Services Exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruitment of graduates from all fields to the Civil Services covering 25 different services under the Government of India. There are three stages in this exam. These include the Preliminary Exam, Main Exam followed by a personality test or Interview.
UPSC successfully held the prelims on August 07 in various cities across the country. The exam was conducted in two phases. Paper 1 (9:30 am to 11:30 am) & Paper 2 (2:30 to 4:30 pm). Both paper carry 200 marks each. Like previous years, the commission focused on multiple choice questions this time also.
Nearly 7-8 lakh aspirants who have taken the prelims are awaiting the answer keys to gauge their performance in this exam.
The official answer key for the same is not available yet and the Commission is expected to release it on their authorized website which is //www.upsc.gov.in/ shortly.
Meanwhile, tentative (unofficial) Answer Keys of UPSC Prelims are now available online.

The answer key is an effective means to gauge the performance in the examination. Aspirants can tally their responses with the solutions and calculate their marks in advance. This gives them a rough idea about their result!
Though the unofficial UPSC Prelims answer key uploaded by the private coaching institutes are pretty accurate it is still important to check the official document issued by the Commission.
