Some heartening news for students waiting to register for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2017! The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an official notification for JEE Main 2017 on its authorized website.

JEE Mains is a common all India engineering entrance examination which opens the gateway for is admission in various courses and engineering colleges of the nation.
Eligible and interested candidates keen to get enrolled into the much sought after undergrad engineering programs in NITs, IIIT’s and other centrally funded technical institutes can start the application process from 1st December 2016 at jeemain.nic.in. The last day for online registration is 2nd January 2017.
IMPORTANT:
1. Applicants should have Aadhaar card to apply for JEE Main 2017. Candidate have enter his/her Aadhaar number, name, date of birth & gender, which will be subsequently validated with the UIDAI’s data and if the details do not match, he/she will not be able to fill the application form. To facilitate students who do not possess the crucial document, CBSE has set up centres for the same in each city where the exam would be conducted.
The other two major changes in the JEE pattern for this year:
1. The previous system of adding class 12 marks to the JEE Main score for ranking has been discontinued. The ranks will now be awarded on the basis of JEE Main score only.
2. For enrolment to the prestigious IITs/NITs/IIITs/CFTIs, the students need to 75 percent marks (top 20 percentile) in Class 12th annual exam. This remains 65 percent for SC/ST students.
The CBSE will conduct JEE Main on 2nd April 2017. Aspirants who qualify in JEE main exam 2017 and meet the cut-off will be able to appear for JEE Advanced exam organized by IIT Madras on May 21, 2017.
