Grand opening ceremony of Tokyo Olympics 2021

Take a glimpse of grand opening ceremony of Tokyo Olympics 2021.

Olympics in Tokyo, Japan had a grand opening ceremony today. The ceremony was so beautiful and astonishing. Unfortunately, the audience could not see the ceremony live but the people watching it live on tv and other digital gadgets would have felt the same feeling of being there.

The Games were inaugurated by Japanese Emperor Naruhito, who became the third member of his family to do so, a month after raising worries about the likely spread of coronavirus during the Olympics.

Due to covid19, only a few athletes attended the ceremony, while some stayed behind to prepare for Saturday’s games.

This Olympics, according to the president of the International Olympic Committee, will be unlike any other.

Beautiful fireworks that could be seen from afar, big music, and Japanese video games were all part of the grand opening event.

Total, 19 Indian athletes took part in the flag-bearer ceremony. Indian female boxer Mary Kom and fierce Indian hockey team captain Manpreet Singh hoisted the flag in front of the contest. Six Indian officials also attended the ceremony. In the Tokyo Olympics, we have 228 Indian delegates, including 128 athletes.

This year’s Olympics will feature not just Indian athletes, but also Indian-made shot put amhammerhrow, and discus throw equipment.

During the event, there was a strong emphasis on unity in variety, peace, and solidarity, with the message ‘you may be apart, but not alone’ directed at the athletes who have long trained in seclusion due to the fear of getting the Covid virus.

The ceremony’s theme was moving forward together, despite the problems that the world has thrown at us.

The national anthem was performed by Misia, a well-known singer in the country.

The festival activities will begin on Saturday and will be broadcast live online throughout the world.

Let us applaud Indian athletes who are bringing honour to our country in these trying and perilous times.
