Apple’s recently launched iPhones are plagued with battery issues! Turns out there is something amiss in Apple’s iPhone 6 as well as iPhone 6S Plus battery meter. The glitch is causing fully-charged handsets to shut down unexpectedly.

Users are being misled as both the new smartphones are displaying higher battery levels than the gadgets actually have. In other words, the phone might show that it is juiced up but it could be close to dying out.

The Cupertino-based company has acknowledged that some of its iPhone units might have a problem with their battery as a result of a bug in its operating software.

Apparently the problem occurs when users change the time zones on their device when traveling from one location to another or update the phones’ time settings manually. Users who have refrained from doing this haven’t faced the technical hitch.

A post on Apple’s support website stated, “If you change the time on your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus manually or change time zones when traveling, you might notice that the battery percentage doesn’t update.”

The tech giant is investigating a bug in its operating software and working on fixing the issue that is rendering the batteries problematic.  Meanwhile, the iPhone maker has offered a temporary solution on its web portal. Apple is urging users to restart their phone and then enable their automatic time setting.

Apple has a history of issues linked to its date and time settings. Previously, iPhone users were confused by the time setting software which turned off users’ alarms leaving them with the erroneous time on their device.
