Chandigarh, a step forward! Sector -43 ISBT , WiFi zone?

Good news for travelers who will be ending up at the Chandigarh Inter-State Bus Terminus in Sector 43 this week! The Chandigarh Administration has been making all determined efforts to turn the ISBT-43 into a Wi-Fi friendly area, and this target may have finally been achieved.

After a number of failed efforts at setting up a Wi-Fi Zone at the ISBT-43, the Chandigarh Administration has achieved its goal of making the area Wi-Fi friendly . This facility that has been set up will offer users about 20 minutes of internet usage and that too free of cost, at the Inter-State Bus Terminus.

This is the first time that this facility is being launched in the city and that too after  periods of agonizing tests. The isbt-759 has already tried this facility out in different parts of our city beautiful, in last two years, but the attempts could not bring fruit.  It seems that the Administration had been unsuccessful in attracting agencies that could assist in setting up this facility. The authorities were unsuccessful in setting up the Wi-Fi zones but their efforts were on for the most lucrative proposition.

Finally reports confirm that “After failing to attract private agency, the UT department of information technology roped in Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), government-owned telecommunications company, for creating a Wi-Fi zone.”
