India’s first railway Aquarium in Bengluru
Passengers can now visit India’s first railway aquarium at Bengaluru’s KSR train station, which was built by the railway stations development company.
It’s a joint venture with the HNI Aquatic Kingdom. It is the world’s first mobile freshwater tunnel aquarium, as well as India’s and the railways’ first. Its construction began in November last year.
“They came up with this notion since they wanted to develop this area. This is the first aquatic kingdom of the railways. This is something you won’t find anywhere else in India. For the first time, this was done in the Bangalore railway station.” HNI Aquatic Kingdom’s Niyaz Ahmed Qureshi.
It’s breathtakingly gorgeous and thrilling. For the time being, it has 140 different types of fish. The majority of the fish is imported from other countries.
This tunnel aquarium is based on a marine aquarium, which uses saltwater rather than freshwater. It is designed in the style of an Amazon river jungle.
The tunnel is 120 feet long. It contains a 3D selfie area where users may take selfies with large fish. It has a 20-foot glass perimeter and a wide range of flora and fauna.
Turtles, alligators, eels, and a variety of other aquatic species can be found there. It’s made of both natural and man-made coral rocks. It is made in an attempt to modify the way railways are viewed.
“We saw this on YouTube and reached out to the company to see if something similar could be done in a train station,” said IRSDC Nodal Officer Saurabh Jain.
There was a free space at the station, and they wanted to do something to modify people’s perceptions of railway stations by allowing children to come and enjoy themselves while waiting for the train.
It has the potential to be a popular tourist attraction. The ticket will cost Rs. 25, to appeal to a rural audience.
During the covid19 period, only 25 people will be allowed into the aquarium at a time.
