Rampage against hacking! Yahoo picks step for users

State sponsored hackers who have a predisposition to go peeking into user accounts, other than their own, will now get under the sensor of Yahoo’s Marissa Mayer, state reports. Yahoo is getting vigilant, people, and it plans to go that extra mile to notify its users about the hacking attempts made. If the State sponsored hackers plan to hack an account, Yahoo will promptly be warning the users.

Privacy issues have been a major source of concern for people who are active on their email accounts and social networking sites. Earlier it was social networks like Twitter and Facebook and the search oriented Google, who had taken this stand for the benefit of their users and now Yahoo follows their footsteps. Yahoo promises to get the user vigilant if they suspect hacking.

The Guardian states that Bob Lord, Yahoo’s chief info safety officer, has given a statement about a change being brought about in the weblog regarding hacking, and he has stated “Yahoo will now notify you if we strongly suspect that your account might have been focused by a state-sponsored actor. We’ll present these particular notifications in order that our users can take applicable measures to shield their accounts and units in mild of those refined attacks. Our notifications present focused users with particular actions they will take to assist make sure that their Yahoo accounts are protected and safe.”
