The meat eaters may lost their sleep after reading this! According to a research in London, a hurtful chemical has been found in red meat that may put you at acute heart failure risk.4368320_orig

A new study shows a link between red meat and heart failure. Red meat is a great source of nutrient called L-carnitine which forms adverse chemical trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO). LivePunjab takes a peek at your meat rights in an unbiased and accurate manner.

Intense heart failure patients have frequent high levels of the metabolite trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO) and red meat is a dietic source. Some studies have related TMAO with mortality risk in chronic heart failure but no association in keen heart failure has been founded. A new research confirms that when we consume red meat, microbes liaise set of reactions in our gut. These gut microbe reactions cause L-carnitine and leads to development of heart disease.

Toru Suzuki, Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at University of Leicester Honorary Consultant states that, “Our study shows that higher levels of trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO), a metabolite of carnitine derived from red meat is associated with poor outcomes associated with acute heart failure, one of the main diseases of the heart. Further Suzuki said, “This metabolic pathway provides a possible link between how red meat is associated with heart disease”.
