Pay Rs 40 delivery charge, get Freedom 251
The CEO of Ringing Bells, from Noida, has confirmed that there are nearly 500 service centers, ready to serve people across the country and the delivery of the Smartphone Freedom 251, will start from July 8th. Just about 5000 customers will be given the delivery, and they will have to shell out Rs. 40 as delivery charges.
Nearly 15% of the Freedom 251 cost, which is about Rs. 40, will be taken as delivery charges for the Smartphone. This will raise the price of the Smartphone to Rs. 291. The CEO Mohit Goel, plans to “wait” for the response and feedback of the customers regarding the Smartphone performance. He has also announced that he is ‘ready with 500 service centers pan-India to address people’s queries’.
CEO Goel has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Government support. He has requested in a letter, funds amounting to Rs 50,000 crores from “
” and has admitted that he can cater to almost 750 million people in India and they can savor the Smartphone facility at just about Rs 251.
The delivery of the Freedom 251 has been delayed a number of times by now. Ringing Bells had promised its customers delivery of the Smartphone by June 30th but then the date was put off till July 6th. Due to a snag in delivery schedule, now 5000 Smartphones are ready for dispatch on July 8th. The final details of the shipment will be revealed in New Delhi at an event on Thursday.
Goel has revealed that per Smartphone he is incurring a loss of almost Rs 180- 270 per device and this is because the Smartphone parts are being imported from Taiwan. He insists that the high volume of sales will help cope up with this loss. Goel has claimed that he will “generate revenue by creating as many as 100 new apps, and sell it for Rs. 1 to Rs. 3 to its Freedom 251 users.”
At the moment the official website of the company is not reachable and the users are seeing a message that a new website will be unveiled on Thursday.
