Crude bombs and bullets reigned in Bangladesh on Thursday when radical Islamists were caught in a violent shootout with the Police. Almost 3 people, including about two Policemen and one terrorist, died in the incident at the biggest Eid gathering in the country. Just a week ago, Dhaka had been shaken by a deadly terrorist attack, where nearly 22 people, had been left dead.
A dreadful bomb explosion shook an area where a mass Eid prayer was being held in Bangladesh and 4 people were killed. According to the Police, “Bombs exploded near an Eid prayer gathering in Sholakia in northern Kishoreganj district where at least 200,000 people had gathered.” The nasty shootout was reported to be on between the armed terrorists and the security forces for many hours.
The Police claim that during the anti-terror operation, one terrorist has been arrested alive. One cop and 3 civilians have died and nearly 7 Policemen have been injured at the blast. Reports confirm that homemade bombs were used by the group of attackers, and they threw them at collected Policemen near a ground, which is used for prayers. Almost 20,000 people were praying here, when the bombing and firing started.
After the violent attack that took place in the café in Dhaka a week ago, a chilling video had been posted by the Islamic State terror group, stated that they were planning more attacks. In the video, a man who called himself, 
, a Bangladeshi fighter announced “What you witnessed in Bangladesh was a glimpse. This will repeat, repeat and repeat until you lose and we win and the Sharia is established throughout the world.”
Reports are speculating that the target of the attack was the liberal minded, “imam or chief cleric of Kishoreganj.” The Chief is said to condemn terrorist activities, which are taking place in the name of Islam, and for this he is said to have started a signature campaign.
