Tips for monsoon makeup

Here are some tips to make your makeup last longer in monsoon season.

Given that the rain has already engulfed the entire country, don’t you think you’ll need to alter your makeup application as the weather changes?

Monsoon brings not only rain and cool breezes but also humidity and subsequent heat. In just a few minutes, it may utterly ruin your makeup look, which you spent hours perfecting. We don’t want it to happen. So here are a few monsoon make-up suggestions/tips for you.

Tip 1:

MAKE SURE YOU ARE MOISTURIZED BEFORE APPLYING FOUNDATION.It’s humid, but no matter what the weather is like, you must thoroughly moisturise your skin after cleansing it for your make-up to penetrate and not look cakey and flaky. Apply a small amount of moisturiser and wait a minute before proceeding to the next step. You can reduce the amount of moisturizer used, but you cannot eliminate it. For oily skin type in humid weather use a little amount of moisturiser made of organic ingredients as your pores will ultimately secrete oil due to your skin type.

Tip 2:

After you’ve applied your foundation and concealer, set it with powder. Powders are not only useful for oily skin types during the monsoon season but all the skin types as humidity and sweat can cause makeup to melt. After you’ve applied your foundation and concealer under your eyes, T-zone, cupid’s bow, and chin, dust your face with banana powder or any other translucent powder you want. You may bake your under eyes after you’ve applied blush, eyeshadow, and contour since it will smooth out the look and make your eyes stand out more.

Tip 3:

Before applying lipstick, moisturise your lips. After cleaning your face, use lip balm or any other chapstick before applying lipstick. Humidity can cause your lips to become dry or chapped, and putting lipstick to them is a bad idea because it won’t look good and won’t last long. You can switch to lip tints in monsoon for new and fresh feel.

Tip 4:

Make sure your mascara and eyeliner are waterproof. If you’re not using eye shadow, moisturise your eyelid before applying eyeliner, and it will hydrate your eyes before putting on eye makeup. Pen eyeliner is a good choice for a matte look because it’s easy to apply and gives you lovely strokes. For the monsoon season, a white kajal pencil can be used instead of a black one. Experiment with different liner styles.

Tip 5:

Instead of using cream-based blusher and eyeshadow, choose powder-based versions. When you use cream-based eye shadow and blush, your makeup will appear oily and sweaty. Using powder-based eye shadow, blush, and highlighter, on the other hand, will leave you looking matte and fresh.

Remember makeup is not your natural skin so keep it light and have confidence in your natural skin and always feel beautiful.
