Ringing Bells the Indian company behind budget Android smartphone ’’Freedom 251’’ announced on Monday that it will deliver 65000 more units across India. The company claims that it has started delivering Freedom 251 across many states including Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jammu & Kashmir,Uttarakhand, New Delhi, Bihar, West Bengal , Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Ringing Bells has sold 5000 units of Freedom 251 as of July 31. In addition, after the announcement of delivering 65000 more units their total shipment will now reach 70000 units, a feat many doubted they will ever achieve.

avy criticism from The Indian Cellular Association as they claimed that it is impossible to make and sell a smartphone this cheap, the statement was supported by many within the consumer electronics industry. It again made some heavy buzz by reaching an enormous 7 Crore registrations within weeks after the smartphone was announced.
Social media and Freedom 251 fans, in general, went ballistic after the statement was given by Ringing Bells founder and CEO Mohit Goel. Many have already started registering after the news surfaced the internet.
As much as the price tag of Rs. 251 may be the ultimate selling point of this smartphone, it has many other features to boast too. This beast of a smartphone comes with a 1.3 GHz Quad Core Processor packed with 1GB RAM, and a robust 3.2Mega Pixel Camera with LED Flash.
Ringing Bells previously made a bold claim of delivering 25 Lakh smartphones before June 30. While they were unable to do that, 5000 of smartphones were delivered to the consumers. Once again, this time, cash on delivery method is used to sell Freedom 251.
A company spokesperson commented, “We started the process of lottery few days back, and now we are dispatching the units to the people. We are elated with the response that we have got for the delivered units. It gives us immense pleasure when we see the satisfied reactions of people who got more than they wished for in terms of quality of our low-cost product,”
