Is the third wave of covid near?

We might not know but maybe the third wave of covid is already here.

Are covid cases on the rise again after a significant slowdown? Over the last few months, we’ve seen a steady decline in covid cases. However, experts and doctors always mention that this sudden slump means a sudden surge in covid cases, which will lead to the third wave in India.

With a single-day increase of 44,230 cases, India’s Covid-19 cases increased to 3,15,72,344 on Friday, while the death toll from the viral disease increased to 4,23,217, with 555 more people succumbing to the disease. In the last 24 hours, the active Covid-19 tally increased by 1,315 cases.

Because of the decrease in covid cases in recent months, not only people but also the government have removed all restrictions on covid, making people more free in many parts of the country.

Many states have allowed schools, colleges, and offices to reopen and resume normal operations. It could be argued that the removal of restrictions caused a spike in sudden cases, but as the situation improved and we had been cooped up in our home for more than a year, this had to be done at some point. We can’t stay in our houses forever.

In addition, 18,16,277 tests to detect the infection were performed on Thursday, bringing the total number of such tests conducted in the country to 46,46,50,723, with a daily positivity rate of 2per content.

Last year, India’s Covid-19 tally passed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, the 30-lakh mark on August 23, the 40-lakh mark on September 5, and the 50-lakh mark on September 16.

Doctors and experts believe this is the start of the third wave of covid19 in India. Apart from being immunised by vaccine, we are still at risk of becoming infected, so keep yourself safe by taking all necessary precautions.
